ADVANCED INSTRUCTIONS
🌱 The soil for growing gerbera daisies needs to be loose and have a pH of 6-7. The soil needs to be made into 30-35cm high, 1.5-1.6mm wide ridges, and the soil surface leveled before sowing. Soaked seeds are spread directly on the soil surface, then covered with a thin layer of rice husk or coconut fiber and thoroughly watered with a spray bottle.
STEP 1: Soil preparation
🌱You should water the gerbera in the morning, using a spray bottle to moisten the soil surface, watering lightly so that the soil does not splash onto the leaves. 🌱When the gerbera has 3-4 leaves, you can move the plant to a pot or prune it to a larger area so that the plant has space to grow and develop.
STEP 2: Sowing seeds
🌱After about 20 days after transplanting the plant, you should use organic fertilizer dissolved in water to water the base of the gerbera. After about 3 months of planting and caring, the gerbera will be ready for harvest. You should harvest early in the morning or in the cool afternoon when the flower stems are upright and the petals are open flat. 🌱You can break the flower close to the base or use sharp scissors to cut it, then put the flower in a bucket of clean water or a preservative solution to help the flower stay fresh longer.
